Athboy student presents donation to St Luke’s Hospital after annual charity walk

A third-year student from Athboy Community School has presented a cheque to St Luke’s Hospital following a successful fundraising effort tied to an annual sponsored walk. Eimear Casserly, pictured with her father, has taken part in the 24 km event for the past seven years.

The walk is part of a long-running community initiative that has raised over €140,000 ($152,000) for the Friends of St Luke’s Cancer Care over the past 11 years.

The donation was made in support of ongoing cancer treatment and care services provided by St Luke’s Hospital. The group walk, which draws local participation each year, continues to serve as a significant source of charitable contributions to the hospital.
