More success for Trim Tidy Towns
Trim has been nominated for the Ireland Best Kept Towns competition in the large town category.
Councillors were told at their January monthly meeting that on the back of its success in the National Tidy Towns Competition and its previous history in Entente Floral, and also the Communities in Bloom competition that Trim was nominated to go forward to the Best Kept Towns competition, an All-Ireland competition Ireland's for the top towns in the National Tidy Towns competition and Northern Ireland Amenity Council's Best Kept Towns competition.
Director of Services Des Foley outlined that adjudication will take place in May ahead of an awards ceremony in Belfast in June and that they were gladly accepting the nomination and would be meeting the tidy towns committee, the councillors and other community associations in Trim and will be putting their best foot forward to represent the town in the competition. "It is an honour to be nominated and we will certainly give it our best shot," he said.
