Spate of car break-ins in Athboy

Kells Gardai are investigating a spate of criminal damage incidents in Athboy where several cars were broken into.

Gardai received six reports of vehicles being damaged in the town in the Townspark and O'Growney Terrace area on the same night.

In most cases, windows were smashed but nothing appears to have been taken. Gardai are investigating an incident in the same area where a shed at a property at Connaught Grove was also damaged.

Kells Gardai are investigating the car break-ins and there have been reports that there were youths seen in the area.

Gardai are examining CCTV in the area and also carrying out house to house enquiries as part of their investigation.
