Rathmolyon man facing trial for possession of ketamine
A 32-year-old man from Rathmolyon accused of possession of the drug ketamine for sale or supply with a market value of over €13,000 is due to face trial in the circuit court.
Ryan Francis Grace of Isaacstown, Rathmoylon was returned to the next sitting of Trim Circuit Court on 27th January. The accused is charged with three alleged offences at Isaacstwon on 3rd April last year, was served with a copy of the book of evidence last Tuesday.
He appeared then before the local district court which was told by Garda Conor Byrne that the DPP directed that the accused be returned for trial.
Judge Eirinn McKiernan cautioned him that he must notify the state within 14 days if he intended to use a defence of alibi. The Judge ordered his defence team be supplied with copies of interviews, and fixed bail on similar conditions to which he was on. She assigned the accused a solicitor and counsel under the legal aid scheme.
