Dermot finally meets his match: a house straight from the pages of a 1970s Bungalow Bliss manual — and its hard working owners, Liam Callan and Sarah Clarke.

Will Dermot meet his match in Kells on this week's Room to Improve?

On episode three of RTÉ’s 'Room to Improve' on Sunday next, 18th January, Dermot Bannon arrives in Kells, where we are told he finally meets his match: a house that looks like it leapt straight from the pages of a 1970s Bungalow Bliss manual - and its hard working owners, Sarah Clarke and Liam Callan. The childhood sweethearts and newly-weds have already decided this is their forever home and some items are just non-negotiable!

The problem? Their wish-list is far more ambitious than their budget. Undeterred, Sarah and Liam hold firm on a fourth bedroom extension - complete with a TV wall, where Dermot is picturing elegant French doors…

Childhood sweethearts and newly-weds Liam Callan and Sarah Clarke at their Kells bungalow.

Self-confessed “non-creatives” who struggle to visualise design concepts, Sarah and Liam prove a tough crowd as Dermot tries to sell his vision. Bannon attempts to walk them through a 3D mock-up of their future home as he tries to steer them away from social-media inspiration and towards his own idea of true wow-factor – if only he can get them to see it first!

Room to Improve episode three airs Sunday 18th January at 9.30pm on RTÉ One and RTÉ Player.
