Theft of wheels from garage

A 27 year-old man was ordered to carry out 200 hours community service following the larceny of car wheels from a Trim garage.

Ryan Wynne from Kinnegad was before Trim District Court resulting from the taking of seven sets of car wheels valued at €4,800 from Trim Car Sales at Dublin Road in the town. The court was told that the wheels were not recovered.

Judge Eirinn McKiernan commented the owner should not be at a loss.

Defence solicitor Miriam Regan said the defendant was unemployed.

Judge McKiernan directed the defendant do the community service in lieu of four months in jail.
