Famous Meath pub gutted in overnight blaze
Fire has destroyed a 150 year old pub in South Meath overnight.
Scut Fagan's pub was gutted in the blaze which is believed to have broken out between 4.30 and 5am this morning (Wednesday 31st December)
Meath Fire Service tenders from Trim, Navan, Kells and Ashbourne attended the scene and were still on site this morning. The cause of the blaze is unknown at this time and a technical examination of the scene will be carried out.
Scut Fagan's has long been a fixture in Moynalvey, well known for its traditional Irish music and even featured in the Oscar-nominated movie, An Cailin Ciuin.
