Chalk Talk Gallery: Junior Infants celebrate first school Christmas

Back in September, Meath’s newest schoolchildren stood shoulder to shoulder for a very special photograph. It marked the official beginning of their school journey ... their very first day of Big School.

For many, it was a day filled with excitement, nerves, and maybe a few tears at the school gate. But since then, those same Junior Infants have learned how to line up, hang up their coats, sit at tables, listen to stories, and make new friends. Big steps for such small people.

As Christmas arrived, Meath’s newest pupils were most definitely on Santa’s good list as they headed off to enjoy their well-earned holidays. In just a few short months, classrooms have become familiar places, teachers have become trusted faces, and school days are now filled with laughter, learning and growing confidence.

Well done, Junior Infants — you did a brilliant job in your first term of Big School.
