Newly Refurbished Dry Changing Rooms Unveiled at Navan Aura Leisure Centre
Newly refurbished Dry Changing Rooms were officially unveiled at Navan Aura Leisure Centre today (Monday) following works completed earlier this year.
The refurbishment involved a complete transformation of the dry changing areas, including the removal of old floor and wall finishes, sanitaryware, lockers, benches, cubicles, mirrors, and ceiling fittings.
The male and female changing areas were also reconfigured to improve functionality, while the sauna was completely renovated.
Under the refurbishment, new floor and wall tiles were also installed in addition to upgraded lighting including emergency lighting, new changing and shower cubicles, new showers with thermostatic mixers, and new sanitaryware and hand dryers.
The total cost of this project was €315,000 with €200,000 of this being funded under the Community Sport Facilities fund through the Department of Culture, Communications and Sport.
Speaking about the works, Mayor of Navan Cllr Padraig Fitzsimons said: "These significant upgrades are a great example of how continued investment in our public facilities enhances the quality of life for many in our communities.
"This fantastic investment ensures the changing facilities meet the highest standards of comfort, safety, and accessibility for the many people who walk through the doors of this tremendous business."
