Chalk Talk Gallery: Lismullen NS raises €3,261.57 for St Vincent de Paul in annual bake sale

Lismullen NS held its much-loved annual Bake Sale in aid of St Vincent de Paul this week, and once again the whole school came together to support the charity in a simple but meaningful way.

Every year, the children help by baking cakes and treats at home, while families and staff donate prizes for the raffle. The school hall fills with colourful stalls, delicious bakes and plenty of excitement as pupils visit with their classes.

As tradition goes, it was the 6th Class students who took on the important job of selling the cakes and helping the younger children choose their treats. They worked together calmly and confidently, making sure everyone had a chance to enjoy the morning.

Thanks to the kindness of pupils, families and staff, the school raised €3,261.57 for St Vincent de Paul, money that will help local families during the Christmas season.

The bake sale is always a special day in Lismullen NS, with everyone in the community playing their part.

“Our annual bake sale is always a lovely reminder of the kindness within our school community. The children put so much effort into their baking and helping on the day, and we are very proud of the generosity shown by pupils, families and staff. The support for St Vincent de Paul will make a real difference to local families this Christmas.”
