Dunshaughlin Players Present Charles Dickens’ ‘A Christmas Carol’

Causey Christmas Experience 2025

Where: Causey Farm, Fordstown
From the toy workshop to the Christmas cottage, all the sheds across Causey Farm have different Christmas-themed events and everyone moves from place to place to sample each new experience. The Castle Christmas Festival - Santa Experience
When: Multiple dates in December
Where: 2 Oliver Plunkett’s Street, Oldcastle
For ten days across December Castle Cinema in Oldcastle with transform into Castle Christmas to provide children with an array of festive experiences from festive drinks and a gift from Santa to photo opportunities. Enfield Macra Live Crib
When: Saturday, 6th December from 1.30pm to 5pm
Where: Enfield Hire, A83 PY57
For the first time in a number of years, Enfield Macra’s Live Crib makes a return with all funds raised going to St Vincent de Paul.
The live crib will feature a real donkey, sheep and a cow, with Macra members as Mary and Joseph, the shepherds and wise men.
The event is being put on by Enfield Macra with the support of other Macra clubs.
The local Comhaltas will kick off events, playing for 90 minutes with festive music to follow.
There is no parking onsite but it is in the town so it is easily accessible by walking. Please note that no dogs are allowed to keep the livestock safe.
Dunshaughlin Choral Christmas Carol Concert
When: 7th December, 7pm - 8:30pm
Where: St Martin of Tours Church, Culmullen
Dunshaughlin Choral Society will be playing their concert in the surroundings of St Martin of Tours Church. Tickets are €12 for adults and €6 for children with all proceeds supporting the local branch of St Vincent de Paul. For more information and bookings, click here.
Emerald Park Jingle Fest/Retro Drive-In Movies

Where: Emerald Park, Ashbourne
Jingle Fest is Emerald Park’s new Christmas event filled with Christmas Character Meet & Greets, Live Shows, Special Performances, a Santa visit, and other attractions in their Jolly Junior Zone. Ticket prices vary with carers allowed to go free of charge.
A ticket to Emerald Park’s Jingle Fest includes a walk through the Festive Fairy Woods light tunnel, a Christmas singalong on the Candy Lane Train, access to the Enchanted Entertainment Tent with snow and bubble fun, special performances, meet-and-greets with Christmas characters, Santa letter posting, a fun-filled festive live show in our Big Top Tent, full access to our zoo, playground and over 10 rides & attractions in the Jolly Junior Zone.

Santa Paws at Sage and Stone

Bring your pet to meet Santa and get a professional photo taken! Each ticket is €25 and includes one family, a doggie present from Santa and a photograph. An Evening of Festive Music and Song at Clonabreany House

Where: Clonabreany House, Crossakiel, Kells
Clonabreany House are hosting an evening of festive music by Accora Orchestra with special guests. The evening will be complete with complimentary mince pies, mulled wine and tea and coffee. Tickets available on Eventbrite or at the door on the night.
Mrs Claus Visits Athboy
When: Sunday 7th December at 4pm
Where: Convent Community Centre, Kildalkey Road, Athboy
Athboy’s High Nelly Club hosts the annual Mrs Claus extravaganza. Mrs Claus will be making her welcome return to the Athboy Community Centre. The parade through the town will depart Bird’s Centra at 4pm and will arrive at the Convent Community Centre on the Kildalkey road at 4.45pm.
This year Mrs Claus will be accompanied by Assumpta Kelly, the Community Person of the Year, in her reindeer led carriage parading through the town.
Every child in attendance will receive a ’Golden Ticket’ which enters them into a free draw. The winner will receive a flight, sponsored by Ballyboy Airfield, over the town and surrounding district.
Entertainment on the day will include Athboy Gospel Choir, Eimear Dara and friends, Real Deal Dance Academy, Athboy Church Choir and many more. All proceeds will go to local charities.
Slane Castle Christmas Market

Where: Slane Castle, Slane
From unique artisan stalls, to festive treats and heart-warming moments, it’s shaping up to be another unforgettable Christmas celebration at Slane.
Entry to the market is free of charge but a €6 charge per car is charged for parking. Pedestrians go free.
The Cottage Market

If you prefer an indoor setting, The Cottage Market is perfect for you! A traditional Christmas market with music, stalls and workshops set in Scotch Hall Shopping Centre.
Christmas Carols in the Church of St. Patrick & Seachnall

Join for a wonderful evening of a joyful celebration of Christmas through music. The evening will include performances by three choirs: Meath Diocesan Choir, the Dunshaughlin Church Choir and the Shooting Stars Choir, each bringing their own unique sound and festive spirit to the evening. Christmas Dribble and Shoot

With music, refreshments, a visit from Santa and prizes, come down and shoot some hoops for a good cause! No previous basketball experience needed. This event is fully inclusive and free to attend, so bring your friends and family. The aim of the event is to shoot as many baskets as possible in an hour, so come and test your skills. Caulstown Christmas Tree Farm

From wreath making to Christmas tree picking, Caulstown is the perfect Christmas day out for all of the family. Visit their Christmas shop and pick up some beautiful decorations or take a walk on their alpaca farm to see some four-legged friends. Drogheda Presbyterian Church Carols by Candlelight

Join for an evening of traditional Christmas carols and lessons by candlelight. Come along and sing together followed by refreshments. Drogheda Presbyterian Church will also hold their Christmas Day Service at 10:30am on Christmas morning.
Night of Christmas Carols with Clíodhna Regan

Where: Dunshaughlin Pastoral Centre
Dunshaughlin soprano Clíodhna Regan, who has just graduated from a degree in music performance from TU Dublin Conservatoire, will be joined by Scottish pianist Connor Wilcox, for a night of Christmas carols, arias, and classical piano favourites, in aid of the Aoibheann’s Pink Tie charity, in Dunshaughlin Pastoral Centre on Friday 12th December.
Tickets are available on Eventbrite at €15. Reception is at 7pm, with the concert beginning at 8pm.
