Chalk Talk: St Peter’s NS Dunboyne switch On Christmas FM!
St. Peter’s National School, Dunboyne kicked off the Christmas celebrations on 28 November, as first class helped officially Switch Christmas On for 2025 with Christmas FM coming to the school for the big moment.
The class won the station’s nationwide search for Santa’s Little Helpers, earning them the honour of launching this year’s broadcast. The excitement didn’t stop there: the whole school community joined in for a morning packed with music, magic and Christmas sparkle.
The celebrations opened with wonderful performances from the school choir, filling the hall with classic festive favourites. Pupils then enjoyed a special visit from Caulstown Christmas Tree Farm, who spoke to the children about their beautiful school Christmas tree - generously sponsored by the farm.
Once the countdown began, St. Peter’s got a huge shout-out live on Christmas FM, marking the moment the station officially went on air for the 2025 season. Afterwards, pupils tucked into hot chocolate and treats as the school lights were switched on, adding an extra glow to an already magical day.
A fantastic occasion for St. Peter’s NS and the perfect way for Meath to step into the festive spirit.
