Chalk Talk: Ratoath Senior NS wins special €15,000 grant for sustainable school garden project

On Friday, November 21st, two students and teachers from Ratoath Senior National School attended a special DAA Elevate ’25 Schools Programme event hosted at the Carlton Hotel, Dublin Airport.

The school is thrilled to have been awarded a €15,000 grant to support their ambitious “An Gairdín Glás Ráth Tó” project, which aims to transform the school garden into a sustainable and sensory learning hub. The new space will promote wellbeing, inclusion, biodiversity, and STEAM learning by encouraging hands-on exploration, fostering curiosity and critical thinking, and deepening students’ appreciation of the outdoors and sustainability.
