Eimear Quinn returns to the Royal County for 'Songs of Winter Dreaming'
Eimear Quinn, one of Ireland’s most acclaimed vocalists, returns to Navan on Tuesday 16th December for an enchanting winter concert. Quinn first came to international prominence when she won the Eurovision Song Contest in 1996 with Brendan Graham’s composition The Voice. Since then, she has built a distinguished career as a singer and composer, blending Celtic, classical, and contemporary influences.
Her latest album, Songs of Winter Dreaming, features seasonal works that draw on Irish and European traditions, including pieces such as Oíche Chiúin Í mBeithil Fadó, El Cant Dels Ocells, and The Wexford Carol.
For this special performance, Quinn will be joined by the Mamisa String Quartet, renowned for their collaborations with leading orchestras, and guitarist Robbie Overson, a celebrated figure in Irish music best known for his work with Scullion. Together, they create a rich, atmospheric soundscape that captures the spirit of winter.
Quinn’s career includes collaborations with the RTÉ Concert Orchestra and the Irish Chamber Orchestra, as well as performances at major venues such as the National Concert Hall, and internationally at the Royal Albert Hall and Sydney State Theatre.
She has worked with legendary producer Sir George Martin and appeared at significant national and cultural events, including performances for President Michael D. Higgins and during Queen Elizabeth II’s state visit to Ireland. Her discography spans albums such as Winter Fire and Snow, Gatherings, Ériu, and her recent seasonal release.
