Search for missing Navan man stood down after the discovery of a body
The search for missing Navan man, Jordan Newman has been stood down following the discovery of a body earlier this afternoon.
It's understood that a body was discovered in the River Boyne at approximately 1pm today (Saturday 29th November) between Slane and Newgrange by members of Silverbridge Kayak Club and recovered from the water by members of Meath River Rescue.
Jordan (28), had been missing from Clogherboy Park, Navan since Monday 10th November 2025 having been last seen at approximately 12.30am on that date in the Bothar Sion area of Navan.
Separately, the search for missing Navan teen, Benjamin Spot continues.
Benjamin or 'Beni', from Johnstown, was last seen cycling from the Market Square in Navan towards the Kentstown Road/Ramparts area of Navan last Wednesday evening, (19th November 2025) around 5.55pm.
Beni’s bicycle was subsequently found at the Ramparts, Navan the following day, (20th November). He is described as being approximately 5ft 1" in height, with blonde hair and blue eyes.
On Wednesday, Gardai renewed their missing person's appeal and are urging anyone with information to come forward.
Searches have been ongoing in the Ramparts and along the Boyne for the teenager.
