Gardai increasingly concerned about whereabouts of Navan teenager
Now missing for over a week, Gardai are becoming increasingly concerned about the whereabouts of Navan teenager Benjamin Spot.
The 14-year-old was last seen cycling from the Market Square in Navan towards the Kentstown Road/Ramparts area of Navan last Wednesday evening, 19th November 2025 around 5.55pm
Benjamin’s bicycle was subsequently found at the Ramparts, Navan the following day, 20th November.
Gardai renewed their appeal for information on Benjamin yesterday (Wednesday). Benjamin is described as being approximately 5 foot 1 inches in height, with blonde hair and blue eyes.
Gardai and his family are concerned for his wellbeing.
The missing person's investigation is being led by the Meath North Community Engagement Area with the assistance of the Meath Divisional Crime Unit.
An incident room has been opened at Navan Garda Station. A family liaison officer has been appointed.
Gardai have collected extensive CCTV from around the town and work to analyse this is continuing.
Gardai have spoken to a number of Benjamin's friends as part of their enquiries and have appealed for anyone else who may have information that they feel could assist in the investigation to come forward.
Search efforts are also continuing along the River Boyne for another missing Navan man, 27-year-old Jordan Newman who has been missing since Monday 10th November.
The Garda helicopter was called into assist in the search along the River Boyne on Tuesday and conducted a two-hour site scan of a stretch of the river from the centre of Navan out as far as Slane.
Meath River Resucue volunteers have been ever present on the River Boyne since Jordan Newman was reported missing, conducting searches in what they describe as "very difficult conditions" as a result of high waters brought on by torrential rain earlier this month.
Christopher Rennicks of MMR said their members were carrying out daily surface searches and drags of the river but diving was too dangerous. "We carry on and hope that we can bring some sort of closure to families affected. Conditions are quite difficult but we're used to that too, we just have to keep going."
Anyone with information on Benjamin or Jordan's whereabouts is asked to contact Navan Garda Station on 046 9036100, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111, or any Garda station.
