Trim Castle Hotel to host festive Christmas evening for Trim Autism Friendly Town

Trim Castle Hotel will host a special Christmas event this December in aid of Trim Autism Friendly Town. Taking place on Tuesday 2nd December from 6pm, the festive event will include Christmas carols, complimentary festive bites and the unveiling of Trim Castle Hotel’s spectacular Gingerbread Castle masterpiece. This community event is free to attend but donations are encouraged with every cent going towards Trim Autism Friendly Town.

The hotel will also welcome choir members from Scoil Mhuire Trim who will entertain with Christmas carols to get everyone in the festive mood. There will be complimentary hot chocolates, mulled wine, and mince pies for all guests.

Attendees can look forward to the unveiling of the Trim Castle Hotel Gingerbread Castle masterpiece. Created by the hotel’s talented pastry chef Sanjwee Dewapriya Sinhalage, the display is a replica of Trim Castle and is a nod to this year’s gingerbread festive theme for the hotel. Throughout December there will be a donation box at the masterpiece with all funds going to Trim Autusm Friendly Town.

Sanjwee guided participants on how to assemble and festively decorate their own whimsical holiday showpiece, and he shared his secret recipe for the perfect spiced dough. Throughout the month of December, Afternoon Tea lovers can enjoy a festive twist with gingerbread men and a unique children’s afternoon tea activity.

“We’re truly delighted to welcome our local community to celebrate the magic of the season with us here at Trim Castle Hotel,” General Manager of Trim Castle Hotel Darrell Penney said. “Our Christmas evening on Tuesday December 2 promises to be a warm and joyful celebration for everyone with Christmas carols and festive bites and it’s a wonderful opportunity for people to come together to share in some festive creativity and enjoy a bit of Christmas spirit.
