Meath Schools team get exam help ahead of semi-final clash with Wicklow

The Meath Combined Schools team that competes in the Leinster Colleges SFC has announced an exciting new partnership with Exam Revision, Ireland’s leading online study platform, in a move that highlights the importance of both academic and sporting excellence for young players across the county.

This collaboration aims to support student-athletes in balancing their dual commitments — excelling on the pitch while achieving their full potential in the classroom.

The Meath Schools management team recognise that success in Gaelic football is not just about physical skill and tactical understanding, but also about developing focus, discipline, and resilience — qualities that transfer directly into academic life.

Speaking about the initiative, the Meath Schools manager, former Meath captain Kevin Reilly said:

“We want to develop well-rounded players who are not only proud to represent their county but also well-prepared for life beyond football.

"Our partnership with Exam Revision allows us to support the lads in managing their studies while pursuing their sporting aspirations. It allows them to access high quality resources at a time that suits them as they strike that balance between sporting and academic pursuits.”

The collaboration underlines a shared commitment to holistic player development — focusing on mind, body, and character. By combining academic support with high-performance coaching, the Meath Schools team continues to set the standard for nurturing the next generation of Meath footballers through the schools system.

The partnership comes at a key moment in the season, with Meath Schools set to play in their semi-final this Saturday at 1pm in Dunganny against Wicklow Schools. Supporters across the county are encouraged to come out and cheer on the team as they aim to reach the final.

This exciting link between sport and education showcases the best of what Meath football stands for — ambition, balance, and pride in both personal and team development.
