Dunshaughlin Youths Football Club condemns vandalism after sports facilities are damaged
DYFC has released a statement on their Facebook page acknowledging recent vandalism that was done to one of their community football pitches yesterday.
The post read: "It is with deep disappointment and anger that we report an act of vandalism on our community football pitches. These facilities, maintained through the hard work and dedication of volunteers, exist for the benefit of our members and local players to enjoy their sport in a safe and welcoming environment."
The post goes on to explain that these pitches are not for public use and are privately owned and managed by DYFC and Dunshaughlin Athletics Club.
The club urged for anyone with information about the vandalism caused to come forward and to contact them directly and in confidence.
The club stated that they will be installing CCTV cameras in the near future out of necessity in order to protect their facilities and they will be tightening up on access to the grounds and their use.
