Lidl Dunboyne to open next week
Lidl's new store in Dunboyne will open at 8am on Thursday next, 11th September, with ladies Gaelic football stars including Vice Captain, Mary Kate Lynch and Meath Senior Dunboyne player Katie Bermingham cutting the ribbon on the state-of-the-art new supermarket.
Early bird shoppers can get their chance to meet and greet lthe football stars and enjoy special instore entertainment and opening day offers. The first ten customers will each receive a €20 gift voucher to spend on their shop.
Alongside the opening, the Dunboyne store team will donate €1,000 in Lidl vouchers to local charity Dunboyne Community Centre which offers classes, event spaces and summer camps for local community benefit.
Located on Main Street, the opening of the Dunboyne store has created 30 permanent new jobs for the local area and takes the retailer’s store count to eight within County Meath, expanding the retailer’s workforce in the county to more than 170 employees.
With a sales floor area of 1,409 sqm, the store features a wide range of amenities for the local community including two Deposit Return Scheme machines, self-service checkouts, customer toilets and baby-changing facilities and OOH (out of home) parcel lockers. The new store features Lidl’s iconic in-store bakery and off licence and has a 119-space car park which includes EV charging points.

Since opening its first store in County Meath in 2004, Lidl Ireland has grown its support for local suppliers and business partners in the county and, last year, procured more than €93 million worth of goods and services from 32 Meath businesses and have a longstanding and fruitful partnership with Meade Farm.

Lidl’s Dunboyne store will open daily: Monday – Saturday 8:00am – 10:00pm and Sunday 9:00am – 9:00pm
