Last year’s champions, Dunshaughlin Royal Gaels were victorious over the league Div 1 champions, Navan O’Mahonys in the ladies SFC on Thursday. The first-half was an enthralling encounter and both sides found the back of the net twice. Megan Collins raised the two green flags for the visitors as Muireann Nelson’s late point handed the hoops a slender 2-5 to 2-4 lead at the interval. The Brews Hill side only managed to register one point in the second-half as Royal Gaels finished strong and took the spoils.

Clann na nGael’s fine second-half performance ensured they took the points on offer over hosts Moynalvey when the two met in the ladies JFC. After a tightly fought opening 20 minutes, Stephanie Walsh found the net to put the hosts up by three and at the break Moynalvey led 1-4 to 0-5. The visitors were stronger in the second-half and a rake of points sealed them the victory.

Drumree 3-3
Navan O’Mahonys came out on top of Drumree in this junior camogie championship goal-fest. Aine Donegan found the back of the net for the hosts midway through the first-half but two goals down the other end for Drumree ensured that there was nothing to split the sides at the break. An early goal in the second-half from Cara Ratty sparked the Brews Hill side into life and they closed out the game well.
