Meath County Council inviting submissions for proposed development at R156 and R125 Mullagh Cross

Meath County Council is inviting submissions and observations from the public in relation to a proposed development at the junction of the R156 and R125 at Mullagh Cross in the townlands of Kilmore and Mullagh, Kilcock.

The proposed development would include realignment of approximately 210m of the R125 northeast of the Mullagh Cross junction and of approximately 300m of the R156 east of the Mullagh Cross junction through a greenfield site. Road safety improvements will be added along the R156 within the red line boundary.

It will also include installation of new road pavement construction and earthworks along with new access arrangements for one residential property and provision for agricultural entrances.

Associated drainage infrastructure, boundary treatments, surfacing works, road marking, traffic signage and landscaping would also be installed

Meath County Council concluded there is no real likelihood of significant effects on the environment arising from the proposed development and that an Environmental Impact Assessment is not required. Applications can be made to An Coimisiún Pleanála for a screening determination as to whether the proposed development would be likely to have significant effects on the environment.
