Swim for Gaza at Mornington Beach taking place this Sunday

Mornington Beach this Sunday will be home to one of the many Swims for Gaza taking place throughout the week.
With the humanitarian crisis still ongoing in Gaza, swimming has now become a lifeline among Palestinians. The Ireland Palestine Solidarity Campaign (IPSC) said it gives “a rare moment of relief from the terror of daily life, a way to wash in the midst of a man-made drought, to cool down in suffocating heat.”
One such swimmer joining the swim Cllr Maria White said “it is just another avenue to raise support” for the people in Gaza.
Swims for Gaza have been organised across the country, including at Mornington beach with the swim set to take place this Saturday at 1:30pm at Harry’s Entrance.
