Meath’s first neurodiversity family festival comes to Navan

Meath's first Neurodiversity Family Festival is coming to Navan this month!

Navan Adventure Centre will come alive on Saturday 30th August as Neurodiversity Navan hosts NeuroFest 2025, a vibrant, family-friendly festival designed to celebrate neurodiversity and promote inclusion across the community.

Running from 11am to 4:30pm, the event is the first of its kind in the county and will offer a joyful, safe space for neurodivergent individuals and their families to connect, play, and be celebrated for who they are.

Organised by local non-profit Neurodiversity Navan, the festival will include a packed schedule of activities such as magic shows, sensory-friendly play zones, creative craft stations, pedallo boats, train rides, and inclusive workshops.

Families can browse a neurodivergent creators’ market, where artists, jewellery makers, authors, and young creators will showcase and sell their work.

Many of the stallholders are neurodivergent themselves and are being supported to participate at no cost, in line with the festival’s ethos of empowerment and access.

A range of information and support stands will be available on the day to provide resources for families navigating school, diagnosis, and advocacy.

The event will include special guests, including Adam Harris, Founder and CEO of AsIAm Ireland's National Autism charity.

“This festival is all about joy, belonging, and visibility,” said Eva Burke, Chairperson of Neurodiversity Navan. “We want every child and every family who often feels left out to come and feel seen, celebrated, and safe.”

The festival is primarily geared towards families with children aged up to 12, though all ages and allies are welcome.

Food vendors will be present, and there will be quiet spaces and sensory supports available throughout the grounds.

The organisers are still welcoming volunteers, neurodivergent creators, and vendors interested in getting involved.
