Cultúr to launch Safety Toolkit to mark World Refugee Day

To commemorate World Refugee Day, Cultúr Migrant Centre will be launching the Cultúr Safety Toolkit, a comprehensive guide co-created with migrants, safety ambassadors, and community stakeholders.

"The toolkit provides practical tools, culturally informed strategies, and safety resources tailored to the needs of diverse communities in Ireland. It aims to support service providers, community organisations, local leaders and people in general in creating safer environments for all," says Tinu Achioya, CEO of the Cultúr Migrant Centre.

The launch takes place on Friday (20th June) at Claremont Stadium, from 10:30 amto 3pm.

Cultur will also be presenting Award Certificates to the Community Safety Ambassadors who have participated in training and workshops for Community Safety (Road Safety, Home Safety, Cyber Safety, Fire Safety and Ask for Angela).

"World Refugee Day, observed annually on 20th June, is a time to honour the strength and courage of people who have been forced to flee their home countries. It is a day to reaffirm our shared commitment to protecting the rights and dignity of refugees and people seeking protection. We believe there is no better occasion to launch a resource dedicated to community safety, solidarity, and inclusion,"says Ms Achioya.

Cultur Migrant Centre is a community development organisation that works to promote the inclusion, rights, and well-being of migrants, refugees, and ethnic minorities across Ireland.
