Navan Pride Festival week culminates with celebration parade on Saturday
Navan Pride Festival 2025 bursts into life this week with a dazzling programme of events that celebrate love, diversity and the vibrant LGBT+ community of Meath and beyond, from glitzy gigs and glittering drag shows to film screenings, thought-provoking discussions, and the Pride Parade on Saturday.
This year, two local charities, Prosper Meath and Youth Work Ireland Meath, will each receive 10 per cent of funds raised publicly and from sponsorship.
After an opening screening of 'Priscilla, Queen of the Desert' last night at Solstice, tonight (Tuesday's) film showing is 'Wicked' at 7.30pm.
On Wednesday at 7.30pm, the Solstice hosts 'Breaking Down Barriers: LGBTQ+ Past, Present & Future', a panel discussion exploring identity, progress, and the road ahead.
Thursday 19th sees a Pride Open Mic with Kazoo The Clown at Leon’s Café & Wine Bar at 6pm, while at 9pm, there will be Drag Bingo with Victoria Secret in the Jackal at 9pm.
On Friday, a talk linking liberation and labour, 'Gay Rights & the Trade Union Movement' with GLEN co-founder Kieran Rose takes place in Paddy Fitzsimons Lounge at 7pm, with Pride-aoke & Music Bingo in The Central at 9pm, €5 per bingo book.
Saturday 21st June sees the Navan Pride Parade gathering at the Fair Green from 1pm, travelling through town, followed by an after-party at Henry Loughran's (Lockie’s), from 3pm, with live performances from IF, Dark Marx, Colette Clinton and Point Taken.
