No plans for skate park or off leash dog run in Blackwater Park
A CALL for a skate park and an off the leash dog area in Blackwater Park was made at Navan’s Municipal meeting last week.
Cllr Eddie Fennessy said that over the past seven years he had called for the installation of lots of different pieces of infrastructure in Blackwater Park.
“Everybody has an idea about what should be developed there, and if I was asked, I'd say that an off the leash dog walking facility would be my number one priority. Followed closely by the development of a skate park.”
Cllr Francis Deane recalled that some years back there had been a proposal to look at a similar facility in Limerick.
The councillors were told there are no proposals to create a skate park and an off the leash dog walking facility in Blackwater Park.
However, the Council will work with the elected members and other stakeholders to identify a need and suitable location for a skate park in the popular park.
