Kells business set for National Enterprise Award finals
Premier Energy Storage from Kells will represent Meath's Local Enterprise Office (LEO) at the National Enterprise Award finals tomorrow at the Mansion House in Dublin.
Finalists compete for a €50,000 prize fund for awards in overall National Enterprise of the Year, Best Start-Up, Best Export Business, an Innovation Award, a One-to-Watch Award, and a Sustainability Award. There is also an award for Outstanding Achievement for a business that started with an LEO and achieved international success.
LEOs have worked with client companies offering mentoring, training, expert advice, and financial supports to small businesses since their inception in 2014.

This is the 25th year of the LEO initiative, which was won last year by DreamDev Technologies, supported by LEO Kildare.
There are several other initiatives the LEO run including Local Enterprise Week, the Student Enterprise Programme, National Women’s Enterprise Day, and Local Enterprise Showcase. The Local Enterprise Offices in local authorities are funded by the Government of Ireland through Enterprise Ireland.
