CYCLING

Bohermeen CC: As part of National Bike Week the club will hold a family fun cycle (6km) on Thursday 15th May at 7pm from Bohermeen Community Centre. All welcome. All children must be accompanied on the cycle by an adult. Helmets compulsory. Free entry with refreshments provided afterwards. Bohermeen Cycling Club will enter a club team for the second year running in the prestigious RAS Tailteann International Cycle Race. To honour our riders the club will hold a team launch in Bohermeen Community Centre on Thursday 15th May at 8pm. The club would like to extend an open invite to all parishioners to attend and meet with the team. Light refreshments will be provided. The RAS will start on Wednesday 21st May in Drogheda and finish at Bective Tea Rooms on Sunday 25th May. Adult evening spins (18+) on Tuesdays, 6.45pm from Bohermeen Community Centre. Youth spins (9+) will continue on Thursdays, at 7pm, from Bohermeen Community Centre. Both adult and youth spins are open to new members. A road worthy bike and helmet are compulsory. Bike Maintenance Workshop Meath LSP and delighted once again to offer a Bike Maintenance workshop for Women, this simple M Check Bike Maintenance Workshop could save you time and money. The M check is a basic safety check of all the main working parts of a bike, moving from the front hub back. It’s quick to do and will ensure you don’t get caught out by a loose bearing, dodgy spoke or slow puncture when you’re mid-cycle. The workshop concentrates on Gears (front & back), Brakes, Tyres, Puncture Repair, Headset and Cranks. Tuesday 13th May at 7pm in St Pauls NS, Abbeylands, Navan. €5 includes a puncture repair kit. Inclusive Family cycle at Park Beo Greenway Wilkinstown Navan. The cycle is aimed at children age 5- 17 years with additional needs and their families giving them the opportunity to experience a stretch of the greenway lead by an experienced cycle tutor.
