500k Euromillions ticket sold in Wilkinstown
The National Lottery has confirmed that the winner of the €500,000 prize from last Friday night's Euromillions draw has not yet made contact to claim their prize.
The winning ticket was sold on the day of the draw (Friday, 2nd May) at Doughty's Mace in Wilkinstown and speculation has been rife in the locality on who the identity of the winner is since new broke on Saturday of the big win.
The winning numbers in the EuroMillions Plus draw on draw that has made someone a half a million richer were: 5, 30, 31, 37 and 40.
Meanwhile, another Euromillions player from Meath has become the second of nine guaranteed players to take home an additional €250,000 in the EuroMillions Ireland Only Raffle event this month.
This time the prize was won by an online player who have just become €255,000 richer following Tuesday night's draw.
Along with the usual €5,000 raffle prize, the Meath player received an additional prize of €250,000, bringing their total winnings to €255,000.
The winning ticket, which was purchased on the day of the draw using the player's own numbers, had the raffle number I-SBG-62584.
Throughout May, EuroMillions players in Ireland have the chance to win an additional €250,000 with seven more prizes of €250,000 still to be won.
This series of special EuroMillions Ireland-Only Raffles guarantees players a top up in the prize fund for all nine draws, every Tuesday and Friday, over the month of May.
Typically, every EuroMillions draw produces ten winners of the €5,000 Ireland-Only Raffle prize, but this month, in addition to the normal raffle prize, one winner in each draw in May will win a dazzling €250,000 on top of the usual €5,000 Raffle prize.
Emma Monaghan, a spokesperson for the National Lottery, commented on the win: “While there was no winner of the EuroMillions jackpot on Tuesday night, over 43,000 players in Ireland won prizes in the EuroMillions and Plus games. This includes one Raffle Ticket Winner: I-SBG-62584 of the 'Ireland Only Raffle' special draw, who received €255,000. We’re now encouraging all our online players in Meath to check their accounts today to see if they’re our latest big winner.
