Tom lines out with his Ireland rugby heroes
Tom Lynch from Kilskyre celebrated his 12th birthday in style last week after being chosen as an official mascot for the Ireland Rugby team as they took on England at the Aviva.
Tom is a fifth class pupil at Kilskyre NS and is a big fan of his local Ballinlough GFC. The club, writing on its Facebook page, wished Tom a very happy birthday and shared photos of Tom with several of the players.
In a heartwarming post, the club said: "Sending a big birthday wish to this little man. As our No.1 Supporter Tom Lynch turned 12 this week, and what better way to mark the occasion than as an official Mascot for the Ireland rugby team against England last Saturday evening.
"In recent weeks Tom has been a Man City mascot, an Irish soccer mascot and now an Irish Rugby mascot… but none of those teams come close to appreciating Tom like we do here when he comes back to his full time role as Ballinlough GFC team Mascot! Happy birthday Tom, we hope you had a wonderful time."
