4,500 homes remain without power in Meath
ESB Networks has confirmed that as of 5pm this evening, approximately 4,500 customers remain without power across County Meath as a result of the extensive caused by Storm Éowyn.
ESB Networks says it has published estimated restore times for most of its faults on www.PowerCheck.ie, which are now the most accurate indications based on fault site assessments of when customers can expect to have their power restored.
A spokesperson said that estimated restoration times will continue to be updated as the restoration continues and that the vast majority of customers should have power restored by Friday night.
"We anticipate that the vast majority of customers who lost power during Storm Éowyn will have supply restored by Friday night, 31st January. For the remaining customers, these will progressively have power restored over the course of the following week."
Nationally, a totally of 768,000 homes and businesses lost power as a result of the storm and by yesterday evening 490,000 customers had been reconnected.
