Council tackling poverty and social exclusion with new funding and programme

Meath Co Council have signed off on a new programme which provides funding to tackle poverty and social exclusion across the county.

The new Social Inclusion and Community Activation (SICAP) 2024-2028 programme will see an investment of over €3.26m and work alongside Meath Local Community Development Committee (LCDC) and Meath Partnership.

SICAP supports communities and individuals including unemployed people, people living in deprived areas, people with disabilities, single parent families, people on a low income, members of the Traveller and Roma community and other disadvantaged groups.
