Nursing home and 70 independent living units plan for Summerhill approved

Plans for a development of 70 independent living units and a nursing home facility in Summerhill have been approved by Meath Co Council.

Grandbrind (Kilcock) Limited sought planning permission for the development on a site of 3.89ha, in the townland of Summerhill Demesne, New Road/Moy Road, Summerhill in November last.

The development includes the construction of 70 independent living units and a two-part-three storey nursing home, with a gross floor area of 5,870m2, accommodating 75 bedrooms (99 beds), including single, twin and ward rooms (with ensuite); days rooms and multi-function space.

A chapel, associated resident's welfare facilities such as therapy rooms, as well as courtyard gardens and terraces were also included in the plans.

Planning permission has been granted by Meath Co Council, subject to conditions.
