After of couple of near misses in recent races Dunboyne AC's Peter Somba returned to winning ways on Easter Monday when he claimed the Moynalty four Mile Road Race in 20 minutes, 42 seconds.
Fiona Nevin from the host club Moynalty AC had 40 seconds to spare over Oughaval AC's Paula Guinan in the Ladies race as she crossed the line in a winning time of 25:49. Star of the Sea AC's Aoife Parrella was third.
Somba had plenty to spare in the men's race, finishing 33 seconds ahead of Mullingar Harriers Andrew Nevin with Rathkenny AC's Adam Canning third in 21:36.

The Bohermeen AC team of scorers James Sherlock (23:07), John Duffy (24:41) and Harry Monaghan (25:39) won the men's team prize from Mullingar Harriers and Kells AC (Christopher Kellett, Liam Sheridan and Mark Farrelly).
Trim AC team of Nessa Maguire (28:12), Eimear McGowan (28:33) and Rebecca Gray (31:07) took the women's team prize ahead of Fr Murphy AC (Emma Priest, Aoife Thorpe and Carmel Thorpe) with Moynalty AC (Fiona Nevin, Katriona Keane and Michelle Byrne) in third.
