Trim played host to Kildalkey in the second round of the Camogie Div 3 on Thursday night but despite a battling performance it was Kildalkey who came away with the points.

Trim played against a strong wind in the first half, but Kildalkey made the most of their advantage, scoring the first three points of the game.

Shona White got Trim on the scoreboard with a well taken point. Trim then shared the next two points with Kildalkey before the visitors scored a goal and a point at the end of the half to ensure they led at half time, 1-6 to 0-3.

Kildalkey started the second half with a goal in the first minute to leave Trim nine points in arrears.

Trim responded well though with three points in quick succession from Chantel Massey, Shona White, and Julieanne Murtagh to get them right back into the game.

Trim, with the advantage of the wind and increased intensity, were winning the 50:50 battles all around the field. This pressure was rewarded with a well taken goal from Chantel Massey, followed by points from Julieanne Murtagh, Shona White and Amy Boyle.

Chantel Massey finished off the scoring with a well taken point, but unfortunately, time ran out for the home team coming up short by two points at the end.

Big congrats to Cliona Walsh who played her first game with the adults' first team.

Trim will play in the Leinster league on Sunday and will hopefully take the positives from their strong second half performance to get them back to winning ways.
