Over €70,000 of cannabis, cocaine and methamphetamine seized in Dublin

A man has been arrested following the seizure of over €70,000 worth of drugs in west Dublin.

A search was carried out at a residential property in Ballyfermot on Friday following an intelligence-led operation involving gardaí from the Clondalkin and Ballyfermot Drugs Unit.

Quantities of cannabis resin, methamphetamine and cocaine with an estimated value in excess of €70,000 were seized during the search, along with a sum of cash.

A man in his 50s was arrested and is currently detained under section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996.

Gardaí said investigations into the matter are ongoing.
