Mathew Costello seen here against Cork's John O'Rourke will be looking to land scores against Cork in the NFL Div 2 clash tomorrow.

Royal County side along familiar lines to face the Rebels

Meath need to take more of their chances to contain Rebels

What Meath will show up tomorrow when they enterain Cork in the NFL Div 2 at Pairc Tailteann, 2pm? Will it be the team that spurned good scoring opportunities against Cavan last time out or will it be the tenacious, battling side that earned a spirited draw in that encounter?

Certainly the team released by Colm O'Rourke today is on familiar lines.

The only change from the team that started against the Breffni men last time out is Cathal Hickey named at midfield instead of Ronan Jones.

Ruairi Kinsella - who started as a substitute last day before making an appearance as a 49 minute sub for Jack O'Connor - is selected at left-corner-forward where Hickey was named for that clash at Breffni Park.

Meath could easily have lost the game against Cavan and had to rely on a superb long distance pointed free from goalkeeper Sean Brennan to achieve the draw (0-11 all).

However, they could also have won the game, and comfortably, if they had taken more of the chances that came their way.

Shane Walsh, for instance, missed a goal chance early in the second-half with Cavan goalkeeper Gary O'Rourke making a splendid save.

Ciaran Caulfield also had a chance late on but the ball unluckily for him hit the upright. It was another one that got away.

Meath also have a tendency to fade out of games while dominating other spells.

Cork have won two of their five games so far, defeating Kildare 2-15 to 3-9 last time out, the scoreline suggesting they can turn chances into scores at a consistent rate.

The 3-9 conceded by the Rebels also indicates a vulnerability in defence Meath will be hoping to exploit.
