Badminton for women and teens girls which will continue in Bettystown and a Multi-Sport day for teenage girls from the Traveller community. Olympic Handball and Basketball programmes were also introduced in primary and secondary schools.

Run, Jump, Throw took place in a number of areas around Meath for girls with disabilities and programmes were also available for older women in the form of Dance and Pickleball.

In total there were 353 girls, teens and women taking part in 16 activities across the county. Meath LSP also supports training and education in sport for women and this week partnered with the FAI to deliver an all-female PDP1 Coaching Course for women aspiring to be new soccer coaches.

All 22 newly qualified female coaches will be supported by Meath LSP and FAI over the coming months to implement their coaching skills within their own clubs.
