Man arrested after cannabis seized at Dublin Airport

A man in his late teens has been arrested after €330,000 worth of cannabis was seized by Revenue officers at Dublin Airport on Sunday.

Approximately 16.5 kg of herbal cannabis was discovered when Revenue officers searched the baggage of a passenger who had disembarked a flight.

The man was arrested and detained under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996 at a Garda Station in Dublin.

He has since been charged and appeared before the CCJ Dublin on Monday morning.

Gardai say investigations are ongoing.
