New lease of life for Navan troublespot
Waste land adjoining Metges Lane in Navan which was a magnet for anti-social behavior is set to be transformed.
A small tract of land at the rear of the AIB which borders Metges Lane has been bought by the council which has plans to clean up the lane, open out and include this new space, install bicycle racks and give the area a long overdue facelift.

Ukrainian refugees to be housed at Tara Na Rí
The Tara Na Ri premises at Garlow Cross outside Navan is to accommodate Ukrainian refugees, with the first families due to arrive in the next few weeks.
The Department of Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth (DCEDIY) has advised Meath County Council that Tara na Ri Ltd is to provide accommodation for Beneficiaries of Temporary Protection from Ukraine at the premises.

Change of date for Meath's meeting with old rivals Cork
Meath's National Football League Div 2 fixture against Cork, which was due to be played on St Patrick's Day at Pairc Tailteann, 1.45pm, has been switched to Saturday, 16th March, 2pm.
The original fixture would have clashed with the St Patrick's Day parade in Navan but the traffic mayhem that would almost certainly have resulted has now been avoided.

Cole steps down as Meath camogie manager
After just a few months in charge Neil Cole has stepped down from the role of managing the Meath camogie team.
The Rathmolyon man has stepped aside "for medical reasons" and is taking a break from coaching for the immediate future at least.
