Local school students with an eye for fashion are getting creative as Junk Kouture 2024, kicks off with the regional finals to be held in the Helix on 4th and 5th of March.

‘Eyecatcher’ - made by Beth Brady, Amy McGillick and Aoife Brady using contact lens covers, car seat covers and curtains and modelled by Beth from St Joseph’s Mercy Secondary School, Navan - and ‘Lighting the Way’ - made by Sean Murray Gaffney with plastic tea light candle holders and onion bags and modelled by Cliodhna Buckley from Moate Community School - were on hand at one of sponsor Eurospar’s flagship stores in Dunboyne, to celebrate the renewal of their partnership.

The overall, Junk Kouture World Final 2023 will take place in just over a week’s time in Monaco on 22nd February. This spectacular live event will showcase sixty finalists from around the globe unveiling their ingenious, eco-friendly couture creations in a dazzling and high-energy showcase.

Eurospar will sponsor the Wearable Art Award at the 2023 World Final, which celebrates the designer(s) who create a true feast for the eyes – think costumes on movie sets, elaborate red carpet designs and the incorporation of incredible props!
