One Flew Over - Irene Ní Chuinn and Martin Quinn from Kells.

Hometown Kells gig for One Flew Over

Kells band One Flew Over will play a hometown show at O’Connors downstairs venue on Farrell Street on Friday 23rd February, with support from Vanwinkles and Michael Brunnock.

One Flew Over comprises Irene Ní Chuinn and Martin Quinn, and was formed in 2021. They have released four singles so far - 'Liar Liar' (2022), 'Rise' (2023) and 'Maybe in Another Lifetime' (2023) and 'Not Good For Me' (2023).

The music is designed with strong melodies and weighty arrangements incorporating classic sounds with modern elements and contains influences of Rock, classic rhythm and blues, pop and soul. Irene is a professional vocalist having sung with many cover and events bands while also being the main session vocalist at JAM studios for many

years. She has also toured with various acts nationally and has appeared on DVD and TV music broadcasts.

Having written songs all her life in various styles but having no creative outlet for them, Irene paired with Martin’s musicianship and production strengths to bring the songs to a

finished and produced state. It was decided that the project would be a joint effort in the form of a duo. Irene is the main lyricist for One Flew Over.

Martin was previously a member of Little Palace and a live touring musician with acts like TURN, Eimear Quinn, Hail The Ghost and many more.

Martin is a music producer and owner of JAM Studios, Kells (www.jamstudios.ie). All recordings have been produced mixed and mastered at the Kells studio. Martin has

worked with artists like Ham Sandwich, Una Healy, Aine Cahill, Hail the Ghost, The Academic, The Strypes.

One Flew Over’s live band is made up of Martin’s brothers James on keyboards and Andrew on drums, and Dublin musician Neil Eurelle from Empire Circus on bass.
