Navan man set to make the cut at Blades

Navan teenager Sam Curtis is expected to sign for Premier League side Sheffield United from League of Ireland club St Patrick's Athletic.

The highly regarded Republic of Ireland u-21 international has enjoyed a brilliant season with St Pat's and played his last game for the club in the FAI Cup final victory over Bohemians.

Curtis, who only turned 18 in December, was believed to be tracked by Manchester City, Chelsea and Manchester United, but it is understood he completed his medical for Sheffield United today and could be announced as a new Blade as soon as tomorrow.
