Family of James Smyth Collins raise over €25k for Meath River Rescue
Following the tragic passing of James Smyth Collins of Slane earlier this year, a huge fundraiser for Meath River rescue was organised by his father and mother, Damien and Graine and all of their family and friends.
James had been missing for nine days last July and a huge search effort was mounted to find him.
A cheque for just over €25,000 was presented to Meath River Rescue in The Village Inn Slane recently by the family.
Damien and Grainne would sincerely like to thank all of the community, all the rescue teams and all who took part in the fantastic effort to find James at what was an incredibly sad and traumatic time for all of the family. "We cannot thank everyone enough," they said.
