Navan ranked 10th worst area in Ireland for Uber drivers

Uber Ireland has released a survey disclosing the best and worst rated areas across Ireland based on passenger behaviour.

Navan was found to be on the top ten worst places list, ranked at number 10.

Rathmines, Dublin was found to be the worst overall, while Balbriggan, Dublin was found to be the best.

According to the survey, these rankings were completed by the transport company's own drivers.

Passengers and drivers are both able to rate one to five stars on a trip. According to Uber, the most common reasons that drivers give their passengers fewers stars include if they're rude, eating in the car, asking to smoke, slamming doors or refusing to wear a seatbelt.

2023 has been the busiest year so far in Ireland for Uber. In the past 12 months they've launched 15 new towns and cities across the country including Waterford, Kilkenny, Sligo and Killarney.

General Manager for Uber Ireland, Kieran Harte said: "We’re expecting record demand for taxis this Christmas. As the holidays bring a flurry of fun and activity in our cities, let's not forget the vital role that taxi drivers play in keeping everyone moving safely. We’re proud to serve towns and cities across Ireland – a little extra kindness towards drivers can go a long way in making the season joyful for everyone who uses Uber across the country."
