Stuart O’Connor of Spotlight Stage School, who is also the performance producer for the Late Late Toy Show said: “We worked very hard over the past few weeks on our opening. It’s obviously different this year, having worked with Ryan for the last 15 years, but Patrick brought the same energy and enthusiasm and was really up for it."

He added: “This year’s opening was something we have been talking about for a long time. It brought that bit of magic to the Toy Show, and while in the past we’ve had musicals or different themes, this brings it back to to basics and what it’s all about… with lots of surprises in there, too."
