Moore nominated by Social Democrats for election run

Sitting councillor Ronan Moore has been nominated to contest the Trim Municipal District local elections in 2024 for the Social Democrats.

He is the second Social Democrats candidate to be nominated in the Meath and Louth area with Niall McCreanor recently announced in Louth to compete in the Ardee District Elections.

Cllr Moore said: “I am once again honoured and delighted to have been selected to contest the 2024 local elections for the Social Democrats. After giving a lot of thought and reflecting on my experience as a councillor to date, I’ve decided to stand again. I will be again asking people to trust me with their vote again so I can continue representing them. I have endeavoured to deliver on the three pillars that I was elected on previously: that of community; disability; and the environment. I have learnt a lot since first getting elected in 2019 about how the council operates and how I can use this knowledge along with my own experience to best add value to the amazing work carried out in the community across the Trim district."

He said he is looking forward to getting out over the next weeks and months to meet people and hear their concerns and ideas and see how he can "work in partnership with them over the next number of years to deliver a fairer community for people here in Meath".
