Athletics Round-up: Anderson takes title as Bohermeen runners also shine

Trim AC's Seamus Anderson was a convincing winner of the Meath Cross Country Championships at Navan Adventure Centre on Sunday.
The DCU student along with Aaron Smith of Cilles AC took control of the race from the gun with the Trim runners stretching out his lead pouring on the pace over the final two kilometres of the six kilometre race.
He led the Trim AC team of Nigel Duignan, Tom Feeley and Michael Counsel to the club title ahead with a great score of 18 points well clear of Bohermeen on 70 points and Na Fianna in third.
In the women's race the Trim trio of Genevieve Molloy, Paula Hegarty and Ann Tobin finished third behind a brilliant young Ratoath team and a talented Fr Murphy selection.
