Two brothers with addresses in Navan and Trim have appeared in court charged in connection with alleged incidents at Trimgate Street in Navan, last Wednesday.

Thirty-one-year-old Ian Keogh with an address at Mornington Avenue, Trim, was charged with assault causing harm, using threatening, abusive and insulting behaviour and production of a hammer in the course of a dispute at Trimgate Street on 13th September last.

Wayne Keogh, aged 37 of Flower Hill, Navan, was charged with using threatening, abusive and insulting behaviour and production of a shovel in the course of a dispute at the same location and on the same date.

After evidence of arrest was given, the court was told there was no objection to bail in the case of Ian Keogh and he was remanded on bail to a date later this month. Garda objections to bail in the case of Wayne Keogh were outlined to the court but Judge Cormac Dunne granted him bail of his own in the sum of €100 with an independent surety of €600. Solicitor Alex Rafter represented both accused.
